By donating today, you will help ICOS to support migrants in Sunderland and the residents in the North East, including victims of hate crime, modern slavery and domestic abuse. ICOS supports minority ethnic people to become better integrated with their local community, and access emergency support. Every year, we directly support more than 500 clients through one-to-one advice, we support many more through events and group activities, and get people from different communities together to achieve common goals

£5 – travel costs for a victim of domestic abuse to travel for the initial support meeting
£10 – the cost of a mobile phone top-up for a victim of modern slavery or domestic abuse, so that they can connect with their family
£20 – a gas/electricity top-up for a vulnerable client who is challenging a benefits decision
£75 – the cost of emergency accommodation for a survivor of domestic abuse who is in the process of fleeing from the abuser

Support ICOS's mission to empower diverse individuals in the North East. With just 11 dedicated staff members, we've made a significant impact, assisting over 500 clients annually.
We're proud of establishing the first Eastern European women's group, providing a safe space for well-being and skills enhancement.
Through our programs and services, including advocacy, advice, and guidance, we support refugees, asylum seekers, victims of modern slavery, domestic abuse survivors, and those facing discrimination, promoting justice, equality, and inclusion.
In the first half of 2023, we've provided support to over 300 individuals, assisting with housing, food aid, employability, and more.
Your support matters. Choose from one-time or monthly donations to make a lasting difference where it counts the most.
