As a part of the Seeing Blue Project, we have been invited to visit ‘The Wild Oysters Project’ (https://wild-oysters.org/tyne-wear/). The visit will take place on the 19th of April at 12:00-13:00.

The project is based at Sunderland Marina (where we will meet on the day). The Wild Oysters project is aiming to restore Britain’s seas to health through the restoration of the native oyster! During the day we will learn about local marine environment, restoration of the habitat, visit Oyster nurseries (micro-habitat housing 27 mature oysters) and go out in to the marina on the pontoon.

Perfect workshop for those who are passionate about marine conservation or would like to learn more about the local marine environment!

Children are also welcome to attend.

There is a limited number of spaces so please register your place contacting julia.wysocka@icos.org.uk/ 07942583833.

We would like to invite all of our ICOS volunteers and those interested in volunteering to our ‘Know Your Nighbourhood’ project launch event. It is an opportunity for you to help us plan, organise and deliver wellbeing activities and community events.
If you have ideas, skills and passion you would like to share with the community, we want to hear from you!
