On Saturday 15th of August, we had our first women’s group trip to York organised by ICOS. You can watch the video here. Video credited @Konstantina Thomaniku

Our trip started with a private walking tour around York with a guide, we found out many interesting and fun facts and stories about York including York Minster, St Mary’s Abbey, Museum Gardens, the Shambles and facts about famous streets and buildings.  We have also visited York Art Gallery where we admired collection of artwork including contemporary art, ceramics and paintings from the 14th century and then we split into little groups to go visit The Shambles, the market and do a walk around beautiful, medieval York city walls.

The trip was wonderful and everyone really enjoyed themselves, at the end of the trip we had a lottery, our two prizes included a sketch of The Prodigy made by ArtJo and a handmade notebook made by Pablo Custom Knives. Our two lottery winners were Agnieszka Szerszen and Anna Szydlowska, well done to you!

We would also like to say big thank you to Vilma Thomaniku for the wonderful video she has created from our trip and anyone who contributed to photographs.

You can get in touch with Julia Wysocka about next women’s group activities and meetings on Julia.wysocka@icos.org.uk or 07942583833.
