Thanks to our wonderful supporters, a children’s outdoor gym will be built at Backhouse Park
We are starting this year with great news!
Our crowdfunding for building a children’s outdoor gym at Backhouse Park was hugely successful! 🥳
✨In total, we raised £7,257!✨
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we not only managed to raise the total amount needed to build the gym but even a little over that, so we will be able to hold an event in the park to celebrate the opening and have some money for further maintenance.
A big thank you to the friends and supporters of ICOS and Backhouse Park who got our crowdfunding off to a great start and who supported our project from the very beginning. Special thank you to the Sunderland City Council for donating £1,000 from Crowdfund Sunderland fund and £2,000 from Public Health Fund, National Lottery – Community Fund for donating £2,000 and NHS North East & North Cumbria for donating £2,000 from Integrated Care Board Sunderland.
